Need Help
Posted May 17th, 2008 by Mat HammondHello - I'm a total beginner - I'm off on a business trip for three weeks (nowhere nice, Riyadh). Can't swim or cycle whilst I'm there. Is there any weight training that I can do that will help my swimming...and bike?
BAR event
Posted May 6th, 2008 by Nick HalesJust looked at the registration list for the BAR and seen 40 odd people, I think that's a record! Did it work with that number of bikes on the green? Presumably quite a few first timers? How was it for you?

Rest days

Can someone give me some advice about rest days? What's the deal?
- Say you take one a week, is it better to day 6 days on, 1 day off OR 3 days on, 1 off, 3 days on... and so on?
- Or does it depend on what you're training for? If you're only doing relatively low intensity training is it worth taking one at all?
- Should you automatically have a rest day after a super long hard session, or do you just take it a bit easier the next day?
