Wantage Tri
Posted June 15th, 2005 by Mark HerdWell done to Jim Thorn (3rd overall), John Clements (2nd Vet), and Nicola Hope (3rd Female). Ed found a novel (and painful) way to mark the course - hope the leg is healing well! A scenic and good value local event.

First Summer BAR race (Report)

Lots of Ironman training and recovering from and tapering for races saw almost as many time keepers and supporters as there were competitors at the first Summer BAR race of the season. Those who did compete showed good early season form with some excellent results.
Ben was fastest on the bike and won overall, while Andy took the honours of being fastest on both run sections. Marie-Anne made a good start to defend her series title, despite being a bit tired after her marathon on Sunday and not having cycled since the last BAR race.

Temp. watch
Posted April 23rd, 2005 by Mike DunmoreThe temp. of the lake today(23/4)was 11c, the air temp. was 10c. We need a good warm spell to bring it up to 14c. As soon as the temp gets near 14c I will get clearance from Hansons to start swimming again. They have put a new security gate at the entrance to the lake where we park, although it wasn't locked today.
