Beginners' Evening

Calling all beginners or simply those who feel that they would benefit from a chance to exchange training tips with like minded Triathletes.

Noe Orozco and Peter Larbalestier will run a "Beginners' Evening" in early March. The idea is to introduce new members to the theory of training and racing and it is necessary because there is never enough time at training sessions to exchange ideas. The date, time and venue are yet to be arranged but it is likely to be held in Oxford or Eynsham. Noe and Peter are Level One coaches and we will be backed by a panel of experienced members for a Q&A session.

In order to progress further it will be good to get an idea of numbers, existing experience and any particular areas that new members want to explore. For instance, race selection, training ideas, equipment, nutrition. With this information, we can better prepare and maximise the benefit of the evening.

So, please will you contact Peter through the e-mail link or by posting a comment and express your interest. Don't hold back because we need a reasonable response to proceed!

Many thanks

Peter Larbalestier

Sorry, also meant to say that I have competed in about 6 sprint triathlons. I would be interested in learning more about transition and training programmes (what's the right balance between the 3 disciplines)

Me too! Blenheim sprint tri in June will be my first triathlon. I have no specific questions at the moment - just a general overview will be handy I think. Thanks.
