Heart Rate Monitors
Hi All,
Can anyone advise in heart rate monitors? My old Polar HRM (circa 1989) has lost its street cred along with the battery.
I am after a cheap HRM that uses a chest strap and its peferable to download the data to a PC. I do not require GPS as well.
The prices seem to vary greatly, so if anyone has any advise; please let me know.
Kevin
The Timex Ironman bodylink does what you want and you can get just the watch and the HRM and get the GPS later (at another time when you are feeling compulsive and think you might actually use it... ;) ). I have the 04 model and the HRM eats batteries (compared to my '00 Polar unit) but I'm very happy with it; it does everything I want and nothing more. Not sure how much it costs these days though, it was never cheap (even the hooky eBay one I bought).
HTH but I'm sure someone has more recent knowledge..!
