Cecily's Fund

Local charity Cecily’s Fund has secured guaranteed places for the British London 10k run in July and the Bristol Half Marathon in September.

The charity is based in West Oxfordshire and works in Zambia. They are now the largest non-governmental organisation providing educational support to Zambian children who have been orphaned by AIDS. Zambians have the one of the lowest life expectancies in the world and there are over one million orphans in the country (nearly 10% of the entire population). Cecily’s Fund has helped over 10,000 children through school by supplying uniforms, shoes, and books and by paying exam fees.
