Cycle Maintenance presentation

For all those of you who feel they could do with a bit of cycle maintenance help ( don’t we all ) we have just the thing for you.

In conjunction with the oxford cycle workshop a local co operative set up to help with cycle maintenance in Oxford  http://www.ocw.coop/  we have two dates for courses.

Sunday March 7th and March 14th 1 – 4 p.m

Theses will be at Oxsrad, so do the Sunday ride, then learn how to fix the things that have been annoying you in the ride. There are showers and lockers at Oxsrad which as an Oxford Tri member you can use, with plenty of free parking if you want to leave your car whilst riding.

We have negotiated a specific course and rate for Oxford tri, whilst also providing the venue. This three hour presentation will be the bargain price of £20 !  The format will be :-

3-hour cycle maintenance presentation
- 15-20 participants
- £20 per participant
- semi-hands-on teaching - puncture repair (each participant will change a tube)
- demonstration teaching - patching a tube, gear & brake cable adjustments (with visual aids) and bearing care (for headset, BB & hubs)
- demonstration teaching - presentation of the "M" check, ensuring a bike is safe to ride and identifying any potential problems
- aero-theory - how to set up your aero bars to ensure they help and don't hurt you as a rider, plus discussion of wheels, helmets & frames

Club member Jared Spier is involved with the workshop and will be giving the presentation, he has the experience and knowledge to know exactly what Triathletes need to know.

If interested please use the sign up on the website. Places are limited to 20 and once we have enough interest ( 15 people ) then the course will be booked.
