Photo for Triathlete Europe: Cassington lake, July 4th

We've been given a great opportunity to have a feature article about the club included in the first issue of Triathlete Europe, the English version of the best selling US mag. The editor would like to include a photo of club members and wants to shoot it this Saturday at Cassington. It would be great to get in as many members as possible, all in club kit, so please come along for the Saturday swim session, preferably decked out in swanky club colours. In case you don’t have kit, I’m trying to arrange to have some available for purchase on the day.

Summer holiday swimming

prichards's picture

The last swim session of the summer term at the dragon school is on Friday 10 July. During the summer holidays we have managed to get sessions at the University Rosenblatt pool on Monday evenings from 8-9pm, with the exception of Mon 20 July. We have 3 lanes reserved with a maximum of 8 swimmers per lane so please use the sign up facility to avoid disappointment. Regretably, due to the numbers restriction, these sessions are for members only

Cycle ride

Cycle ride from Witney this saturday 2pm.  If intersested please e-mail caryswillams [at] yahoo [dot] com or phone 07772604066

RESULTS: BaR event, 30 June 2009

hnickau's picture

A full start field of 35 assembled for the fifth round of the BaR training events and despite having to cope with a partly "resurfaced" (gritted) bike course and some traffic lights between Bletchingdon and Kirtlington, there were again a lot of results to be proud of.

Welcome to Clare Nunneley, Craig Mitchell, Marie Rout Peter Cartlidge and Stuart McLeish who posted a first time. Well done! I hope you enjoyed it and we'll see you back trying to improve on your times.

Club Champs series update

jgreatorex's picture

With 4 races left in this years series, including the upcoming Thame Triathlon, there's still lots of points up for grabs. Emma McDermott, Jane Bell, Rich Dunbabin and Hanno Nickau all hold a strong advantage in their respective categories, whilst the Male under 40 category is still up for grabs with Sean Nicolle joining the lfray after today's Cow Man race (points not included in this list) and a good showing at Blenheim. The ladies Vet category is also heating up, with Anita Donaldson, Sue Turner and Sarah Kerswell all in the frame for the trophy.

And now, the moment you've all been waiting for ...

... Yes, the new kit is actually arriving, at long last, on Friday morning. The full range of stuff, including women-specific everything, at very keen prices (the club has secured an extra discount from the supplier). So, as before, please form an orderly queue ...
